Two weeks after resigning as head coach of the Class 7A Fayetteville Purple Dogs, Daryl Patton has been named the new head coach at Class 4A Bauxite following the resignation of Dustin Prescott.

Patton spoke with ArkansasVarsity.com about his new job late Thursday evening.

"It'll be fun going from the monster that we built at Fayetteville to Bauxite," said Patton. "I just want to help restore the pride! It'll be tough, but so has every job that I've had."

Before taking the Bauxite job, Patton led Fayetteville to four Class 7A state titles (2007, 2011, 2012 and 2015) in addition to helping coach numerous division one and division two college prospects.

Additionally, Patton took to twitter to give Bauxite fans a preview of what he hopes to bring to the table as the Miners head coach.
